Kid-Friendly Binding - It's never too soon to start planning for the next school year. Plastic coil and Wire-O binding are ideal for kid's products because these styles do not contain exposed wire that can cut small fingers or tear clothing. And both binding methods are available in a variety of colors to match the lively designs of children's products.

Laminate Outside/Laminate Inside: Laminating book covers can help protect your books from the elements - gloss laminate, for example, is available in water- and grease-proof varieties perfect for restaurants and industrial settings - but laminate can be effective for book signatures as well. Matte laminate helps define fonts, making text easier to read, particularly for large-format pieces that must be read from distances.

Layout Tip: Remember to leave ample room on the margins for the binding elements. Copy that stretches to the edge of the page can be drilled away as holes necessary for binding are placed along the spine. Leave at least ¼" punch margin on the bound edge to ensure critical images and text are not lost.
